Recently we have been asked to give guidance to those planning a Wedding and even editorial for those producing Wedding Magazines. Why not have a Lip Ink page to provide all this in one place - we thought!
So here we go and no doubt this will grow with providing answers for both - your own input always welcome! As with everything we do!
Quite clearly a smudgeproof long lasting lip colour is absolutely made for Weddings where everyone is always kissing everyone else - Lip Inks are almost compulsory wear for that day, if no other!
The bride (and bridesmaids) wants to look her absolutely 'natural' best and we know all the right colours to achieve that fresh look. Then mothers of the Bride and Groom have bought great outfits and need to have the appropriate colours to go with these - not forgetting those wonderful hats!
We have a number of services that invaluable for both, very different approaches. In the UK the most popular colours are for those of the fairer sex who wish to just enhance their own natural colours - obviously if you are wearing white it is even more important to have the right colour on your lips to look your best in the photographs. So we have lots of advice about which colours will work best on the day. All this needs time, because the last thing any Bride or Mother of the Bride is be wearing their lip Inks for the first time on the Big Day - you need time to perfect the application technique and feel perfectly comfortable - not achieved at the last minute!
We can send Testers of many of these colours to try out before making the decision of what suits you best. These can be sent with any intention to order a Sampler Kit. But as these are coming and going from day to day you need to phone us to secure them at that time 01854 333 833
Best for the Mums - if you send a sample of the fabric of your outfit and some idea if you want to tone or contrast we can make some suggestions - but we will need to know your own eye, hair and skin tone colours. Or if you have an old favourite that you want to match send us a sample in the middle of a normal tissue - plenty of room for us to work with please. Then we can tell you which colour/s in the Lip Ink range we can match with - we have 50 to choose from and Lip Ink International boast that we can make millions of colours!!
Our latest brainwave is that we have a group of six look alike models that you can try out our top 20 colours on. Very helpful if you know how you would like to look on the day - sorry no bridal photographs - yet! (But we issue a challenge - send us one of your first 'Mr & Mrs Kiss' and we'll feature it at the top of this page!) Of course as with all make-up our own chemical reaction may make some colours look different - just like perfume never smelling the same on different wearers - the same can happen with Lip Inks!
