Terms & Conditions
Our policy is to treat our customers in exactly in the way we like to be treated ourselves. We hate those small print screeds, but it appears that not only to add to our creditability but to comply with legislation (EC Distance Selling Directive) we are required to offer you our own 'large print' version. You should note that your statutory rights under the current consumer protection laws are not affected (more probably enhanced)
Data & Privacy:
The information collected from you at the time you place an order (on you or those you gift to) will be stored in our database and is used purely to carry out your instructions and action your payment. This information will never be passed to a third party.
Supply:
We will supply you with the products described in these WebPages by any date you might reasonably request (bearing in mind that product may have to be sent from the USA and posted to you) If you have an urgent order it is always advisable to discuss your requirement on the telephone 01854 333833. Most lipink products are nearly always available for immediate despatch, but those that are ‘less popular’ may not. Unless we have specifically agreed otherwise, delivery will be as soon as possible and certainly not more than 30 days.
Contact:
We will only contact you in connection with your instructions and keep you well informed should we have any difficulties providing you with the specific product ordered, to be delivered by your date specified. We will not email you at all without your permission.
Delivery:
We do depend on Royal Mail's postal service (or other suitable carrier for overseas deliveries) to complete the 'delivery contract'. We monitor the performance of our carriers continuously. Most orders will cost between 75p and £2.48p to deliver - depending on shape and weight. Deliveries outwith the UK are subject to discussion - but will always be by the best value for money and subject to your agreement
Guarantee:
We are confident that we can guarantee your total satisfaction with any of our products and our service. Although ‘colour’ is always a matter of personal taste it must be said. Your statutory rights under the current consumer protection laws are not affected. If your first choice of colour is not what you expected we will work with you at no extra cost to find the right colour for you - however sometimes that might be layering of more than one colour; or you may have an acidic condtion on your lips that has the effect of turning some colours either raspberry, darker or more blue. Again we will always work with you to find the best solution. We are not motivated to 'sell' you more Lip Inks quite the contrary we work only to find the right colour for you by the most cost effective means - and that is a promise.
Refunds:
In the event of loss, late delivery or damage to the product supplied and a replacement is not acceptable, you should return the unopened goods either in the original packaging or suitable protection for safe transport and we will send you a full refund. If you paid by Credit Card, then the refund will be made back to your Credit Card Company. If however payment was by cheque, then we will post you a cheque. Our major concern is to maintain our happy relationship with you our customer.
Exchanges:
Legally cosmetics are non returnable for obvious Health & Safety reasons. However because Lip Inks are a new concept within the UK we try to more than meet our clients half way! We supply spare applicators with all new colours, and these should always be used until you are confident that this colour is for you. Sometimes 'your colour' is best achieved by a layering of two colours so we will need to discuss this with you about how you feel about what you have and what you want to achieve - we recognise this is very much part of the service we offer.
Success with Lip Inks is all about following the correct application technique which is always explained thoroughly for every new client. Sadly it has become evident that some new clients do not even open let alone read these instructions and then may complain that Lip Inks have not worked for them. This presents us with a dilemma as we want to treat our clients very fairly, but in return we would like our clients to treat us fairly too!
You would not return a hairdryer and complain it had not worked when it is obvious that the electric lead has not been unwrapped let alone plugged in! In the case of cosmetics they cannot be resold..... Our policy on returned product is to offer 50% refund but please study the fuller explanation.
Payment:
In you order on the Internet, you will normally have your payment processed at the same time. However we may need to talk to you before we send your goods. We do not action Credit Cards or cash cheques until the week in which the goods are to be despatched. Payment online is through the very well known Payment Service Provider PayPal who meet all security regulations within the UK. Although PayPal will no doubt do their best to encourage you to sign up for their own service - you can use it nonetheless in the normal way for paying via your credit card and you do NOT have to 'join'.
VAT:
Lip Ink UK is not registered for VAT .
Complaints:
Well we don't have a procedure as such - because we believe that we look after our customers so well that we do not not need a 'procedure ! Clearly we take any complaint very seriously and would expect to contact you almost by return.
